For those New Englanders who are ARRL members (I haven't been since 
2000), you may be interested in this. As I'm uninformed, I'm not taking 
sides, so please do your own research.

Fred Hopengarten, K1VR of antenna zoning fame, has decided to step up 
after being urged by hundreds of ARRL members in our division.

The incumbent New England director (K1KI) is in favor of rules and 
limitations on transparency promulgated by the board.  He also voted to 
sanction another director for speaking against the code of conduct 
recently passed that prohibits directors from talking to their members 
about board matters.

Because time is short (Ballots coming out this week and people typically 
vote when they get them) please tell other hams of your support of Fred 
for New England division director via email or otherwise so they can 
VOTE for him when they receive their ballot any day now!!!!
