[AMRadio] Just an evil thought

Hi Chris,
Yes like 15m, 17m and the new 20m frequency around 14.330 are good examples.
I don't know how many times I have worked guys like VE6CQ and WA1HLR on
nonstandard times on 17m when some folks think the band is dead!
In fact on 20m I am told by a lot of old timers they didn't know we are even
on the air. Most of the guys breaking in are new guys wanting to try AM for
the first time!
A good way to Elmer new guys to the AM mode.

Jay, Fabulous idea! It isn't just that one knows the waterholes, it's
knowing that someone is actually on the frequency. Might sharpen the ears
or cause one to stay tuned hoping that propagation improves, etc.

Yea I am being serous Brian. I don't know how many times I posted here AM
activity and it is somewhat delayed mostly from lack of guys checking their
emails.
I know there is a QRP cluster and a schedule page for LOTW, FISTS, WAS, etc.
I just wish I knew how to do it and I would set up one to see if it was
useful.
Much better to get on the air than to spend time writing an epistle like I
did today, hi. Maybe the guys pretty much know all the waterholes and this
might be a waste of time?
BTW, 10m is open guys! 73 de w5jay/jay..
