By the way Don, I know you have a BC-1T. I am thinking (without doing any
math yet) about installing 450TL's in place of the 833's. I have a 60 amp
7.5v filament (220v primary) xfmr Bill Decker sent me years ago, and I have
4 good 450tl's. I have not even looked and compared the difference of
833's vs 450TL's as far as a match to the mod xfmr, and not even sure yet
the driver stage will be sufficient for the finals. Of course I would want
to keep it where I could switch back if I had to. 833's are probably a lot
easier to find than 450TL's these days. These 833's I've got for the Gates
are made in China. Brand new, but have no idea what to expect.
