I still recall my visit some years ago fondly, Larry. It was a loooong one
day drive from VT to the North Woods of Maine to pick up the ATC, but
visiting Gary WZ1M's shop and your place along the way broke it up nicely.
I still marvel at the eclectic mix of homebrew, surplus, and commercial
gear you have tucked in nearly every corner on every floor of the big old
house. And hearing Steve K4HX (still WB3HUZ then) in QSO with Gary W2INR VA
to NY coming through that massive speaker on your Meissner receiver sounded
like they were in the basement with us.
Wish I'd gotten over to see John/N1MMD 'Mystery Meat Dinner' too, but the
daylight was gone and I still had a 5 hour drive ahead of me. I highly
recommend a visit to NE1S (not just any one - N-E-1-S) for anyone who finds
themselves in the area.
