There was a great AM ham station presentation on U-Tube by Jon KA1TDQ. Unfortunately Jon took that video down. It is based upon this song "AM Radio" by the group Everclear. 

Maybe this song could still be used as an intro to AM Radio...that is if the club members are younger...otherwise maybe not. You be the judge:
