IMHO, I'd suggest either an SX-101 or an SX-101A.

I've had both, and they did very well alongside an HT-32 that I had at 
the time.

I've also use an SX-101 MKIII, until a Dow key relay failed, taking out 
the input.

All three of these do have ONE caveat.  If you leave them plugged in all 
the time, be prepared to replace the 12BY7.  It is in the RF Amplifier 
chain, and the filament remains lit at all times when plugged in.
