[AMRadio] Hallicrafters SX 100 MK 2

Hi all,
I have started another project that I could use a bit of help on. I picked
up a SX 100 MK2 and find it is working somewhat. Can someone explain to me
what would be the symptoms of a receiver needing an alignment? Also, the
on/off switch is built as a wafer switch of course doing a couple of
functions. It is called the "response" switch. It also functions as "lsb,
usb, trebel, and normal". When I bought the receiver, the previous owner
indicated it would not turn off. Only by pulling the plug. That was the
case, but I sprayed deoxit on it numerous times and got it working ok. But
now it has gone back to not turning off the radio. When you put it in the
off position, the radio goes silent but it just wont turn off. Anyone had a
similar problem? I would assume the wafer is just going to a dead spot on
the switch but maybe there is a wire that actually gets activated to turn
it off? I just dont know yet. Also, I have been looking for a paint color
to match the dark gray that the unit is. Anyone have a good color match
that they have used?
