[AMRadio] Viking Ranger plug

I think the HC-6 crystal size is the one that fits. As far as I know, there was never an official 2 prong plug for that connection. I've heard rumors that the old twin lead plexiglass plugs from the 50's work but I've never had one. What I have on my Valiant is a set of 14 AWG house wiring 'sticks', soldered to the relay wires, and fully insulated, maybe 3/4" long. I just plug each one into the socket and that's it. I've been using that since 1996. I did try an HC-6 one time but had a couple of problems. I mangled the case terribly trying to cut it apart, then I don't think the crystal stayed in the socket. I think Glen Zook K9STB sells an HC-6 plug adapter so check out his website as an option. 73, Scott WA9WFA
