[AMRadio] Tube Shipping Question

a lot of people don't know how to handle old vacuum tube equipment.
Many only know of modern solid state equipment which is relatively
lightweight and rugged and can take more of a beating being packed
only in molded suspension paper or plastic ends and a single box.
For tube gear you have to micromanage even "professional packers."
3-500Z usually do okay in the special tube boxes that have the foam
rubber tops and bottoms with these boxes wrapped in bubble wrap and
put inside a bigger outer box. They have to be double boxed.
There are some tubes that simply cannot be shipped. any of the older
tubes with the long stem elements.
