I have been reading the post with interest because a lot of you older hams seem to blame the new hams for being poor operators. Well I'm a new ham and was very excited to get on the air and join the ranks of what I thought were very pollished and almost professional acting and sounding men and women. I have found that some of you sound just like CBers but with a license. Most of the hams I hear are what I expected, very nice and glad to help and welcome a new person into the hobby. Just a few bad apples can spoil the bunch. So why don't we tell the offenders that cussing and swearing won't be tolorated. I was scared to death when I started to make contacts that I would say something wrong and get scolded so I was very carefull of what I said and still am. I know that sometimes things slip but what I'm talking about was not a slip up they sounded like they were at the neigborhood bar. Bill kd8pox
