That is kind of funny Rob. What I mean is every FCC employee I have met
seemed to be the same way and one day I asked one of them I knew why.
He explained that not everyone could interpret his intent of simply
conversing without ascribing official actions from their words.
They also say as little as possible and want all official communications
in writing so it can't be misunderstood.
I have know a couple who do get on the air and are a delight to talk to.
One in particular was quite active on AM and is very knowledgeable about
restoration.
You would never know what he does for a living when you talked to him
on the air. Very nice guy. It is sort of like when Ed Hare, W1RFI was
posting to a board and he was thorough and kind but some people took it
the wrong way and complained to League HQ. It didn't take long for him
to quit posting for many people misunderstood there is a difference in
official and unofficial communications.
