This brings me back to issues of the high voltage end again, and how to
insulate from the Big Sugar Maple directly in the path.
The constant swaying, like today with the gusts that have hit 61mph,
make it another problematic area.
It is why I haven't done it yet.
Even though I have plenty of wire, most is bare. Running insulated wire
would lose its insulation real fast. I "could" look at surgical rubber
tubing to slide over the wire, but I'd have to investigate how to get it
to stay in place, yet let the insulated wire slide freely.
Any lubricant, even Yellow Jacket, used in pulling cable, would lose its
lubricating ability over time and water exposure.
Time to try and find a solution.
-------------- Original Message ----------------
The only possible way to run 80 and/or 160 would be to run a wire off
the back of the BC-939 Antenna Coupler.
That puts me strictly on the *Beast*, (BC-610 or T-213.).
Those couplers are quirky as are the Beasts. They haven't a single
capacitor in them - *Except* when you run 2MC and below.
