Yep, I got 4 NOS with the panel sockets at Shelby a couple years back,
seems like I paid $4-$5 total for the lot, from one of those boxes of
junk found under a table on Sunday. The guy had been there since
Wed/Thursday and apparently no one looked in the box or if they did,
had no need for the connectors.

Another place they show up frequently are on old hand mics used on
early tube CB radios. These mics can be found in similar boxes,
usually for a couple bucks.

As remaining stock on old items disappears, those who are resourceful
will have no problem finding the needed parts. It's part of the
process and hobby that many of us pick up early on, sometimes referred
to as scrounging or pack ratting.

Good hearing you on 80m last night, Pete. Wonder if you heard the
European AM coming in as you were signing out? Steve/HX and I snagged
France and Malta, first time I've worked 9H1ES. Jean/F6AQK was 10-20
over at times, covering up part of Dave/N8LGU's sign off. If not for
those static crashes, things would've been even better.
