First off, I don't think there's a one of us on this list that's a lawyer with copyright case experience. Back in my Army days we'd call those guys who seemed to know the regs real good, but weren't JAG officers, "$hit-house lawyers" cause that's usually where they met their "clients". Unfortunately that's also about how far their legal expertise went too. Unless someone has represented a copyright case in court (and won it preferably) their opinions on legality are just that opinions.

Now, No one with any skin in the game seems to want to get a "real" legal opinion or even open that can of worms. Understandable since that tends to get expensive but quick and the profit margins here are >TINY< or nonexistent.? So I propose put up or shut up -? one of our Righteously Angry folk either A) find a copyright lawyer, pay the man, get the Real Deal, and take what ever action (if any)? that suits, do it on your own nickel. Good Luck, God Bless, and may the best man win etc.? or B) quit the BPM.??

I don't think the effort of either buying a manual or asking around the net for a buddies copy is quite worth the hullabaloo.? I bet if I dropped an email on this list (or any of several others) about a need for a schematic or assembly manual for a Heathkit XYZ gizmo, I'd get a bucket of responses of folks willing to send me a couple pages or more.? Hams are good that way, or we used to be.

Well, nuff said, it's 20 degrees outside and there's 10 inches of snow on the ground, so I gottat get to stringing up that 160 meter loop in the trees again and running ladder line etc.?

73 and God Bless,
