[AMRadio] Heath Apache on 160?

It seems to me that I remember talking to someone years ago that did
modify an Apache for 160. From what I remember, a relay had to be
installed to divert the VFO output; another relay had to be used to add
additional LC in the driver and/or buffer stages; another relay added to
the final tank area to switch in an additional inductor and capacitance.
A toggle switch had to be added somewhere to activate the relays. There
may have been some other circuit diddling. It might be simpler to just
build a 160 transverter, run all of the Apache off the low voltage supply
with the exception of the modulator, and not do major surgery to the
Apache.
