Guys we have a companion web site called AM Swap. Most, if not all, of
you are subscribed to it. I don't want to suggest anyone is wrong for
using eBay or right, just that it exists and has been a successful forum
for many hams. One thing for sure is I don't want anyone to demean
anyone for using the site. If using eBay is your cup of tea that is
fine, but don't advertise your stuff here that is on eBay. No one has
thus far, this is just a reminder for this reflector and AM Swap.
I don't buy there because I want to see what I am buying. I want to
hold it, look under the hood or smell it before I plunk down money.
Your may not have reservations about doing business in that fashion and
that is fine. But no one here should criticize others for using it.
Sometime back The Boatanchor Classifieds started an auction, it is till
there and there is not one listing on the site. That could be an
alternative to those of you who do not want to use eBay. However some
people are sensitive about what they do so be careful about how you talk
about the subject.
I prefer to buy from someone who establishes a price and lists the
equipment on AM Swap first. If no one wants it then take it elsewhere.
So there you have it. Lets be kind to each other so we don't replicate
the recent mess over on the National reflector or the HRO Group. It
makes moderators very nervous.
Thanks for your time.
