No one should ever provide personal info to any unexpected e-mail request, especially account info. And, never call a number embedded in such a request. Obtain any such phone numbers independently from the organization that purpotedly originated the email and call THAT number with any query. You will likely find that the number you get independently and the number in the email DO NOT match.
