That is the absolute last thing that I would obtain!

I use either a Shure 444 or my Shure 737A.

Both are high impedance, and get fed either into a DX-60, or my BC-610.

The BC-610 audio chain takes in the audio from the speech amplifire, and
the goes into its mod deck input transformer. It is 400cps to 3500cps.
That gets fed to the pair of 2A3s.

I've NEVER been told/accused that it sounds like *mud*.

Download the 737A djvu file from Edebris. I'm the "unknown" contributor.

This is the second one I've owned. The first one went with the
HT-37/SX-101A that I donated to a high school.

They are found on the odd occurrence, and are given values around $300.
I bought mine for close to $100.
