Thanks for your responses.This is a nice variety of receivers to consider. I'll keep looking around atvarious Michigan and Ohio hamfest and see what I find.  I was determinedto get the Ranger at Dayton last year & it is just what I wanted. I am not as committedto a particular receiver – mainly concerned with price, ease of repair, and a1-KHz dial read-out.
