Hi Ellen --

I did have to chuckle at your mention of us being ridiculed about
contesting.  On Thanksgiving Day I had a QSO with a fellow in California on
10M AM;  I was running my 5100B and he was running a Globe King 500.  We
soon found out we were CW contesters and DXers, and had a great discussion
of up coming contests and DXpeditions -- all via vintage hollow state
AM.    Loved it!!
