Just as a counterpoint, I have listened around 3880-3885 later in the 
evening and it doesn't seem so bad.  I even broke in a few times on 
my rice box and didn't get sniffed at or looked down on for running a rice box.

Hope to be able to check in with a "real" AM rig by the end of this 
week if my 1625 modulator tubes show up from RF Parts (blew up one of 
the modulator tubes last week).
