[AMRadio] "Real" AM'er

Sorry Jack, but I beg to differ,

To me, and a lot of people, it sounds like juvenile toilet behavior. I
like AM, but one of the biggest beefs I have, is all the venom I've
gotten (and Mark, K3MSB has also gotten), for being a contester, or
doing "slopbucket," while it's OK for make an effort, to fart, belch,
etc. on the air. It's OK, for for guys like Tim, to talk about how they
got so stoned on a great bag of weed back in the 70s (hearing that QSO
on 3885 a couple of years ago, raised my eyebrows and them some). It
seems hypocritical in a way. AMers are supposed to be classy, not
trashy. Other than the Saturday morning AM traders net on 3885, it
makes me want to keep to 160, or the high bands for AM. Don't you want
to make a good impression on noobs?

With one of her rare posts,
Ellen-AF9J
