Thanks, Mel.. That I did not try and it makes a lot of sense. I'm gonna kick
myself if after all this time it is solved so easily.

If the buzz is constant it is probably the relay, but it is talking to you,
it is the mod transformer.  The solution I used was after a hour or so of
operation, and the transformer is good and warm, I shut everything down and
used a 50/50 mixture of marine varnish and spirits and saturated the
laminates.  Let it dry over night and it cured the loose laminates from
talking, hi.
