[AMRadio] Noise

A driver was stuck in a traffic jam on the highway outside Washington, DC.
Nothing was moving. Suddenly, a man knocks on the window.

The driver rolls down the window and asks, "What's going on?"

"Terrorists have kidnapped Congress, and they're asking for a $100 million
dollar ransom. Otherwise, they are going to douse them all in gasoline and
set them on fire. We are going from car to car, collecting donations."

"How much is everyone giving, on average?" the driver asks.

The man replies, "Roughly a gallon."

It's probably a variation of the "Cocktail Party Effect". All the
politicians
agitating I mean campaigning for the elections quit talking at the same time
thus lowering the temperature of the air which means the air molecules are
not
banging into each other as much therefore lowering the noise.

Got to QTP (go to bathroom) and make a contribution to the re-election
campaign.

Hi all,

The atmospheric noise on 160 and 80/75 meters is as quite tonight as I
have heard in many years. Late this afternoon, just about sunset, I
worked a Toledo, OH station with good signals both ways.

I just tuned around on 160 and only heard 3 or 4 stations, none on AM
and only two stations in the 75 meter winder.
