When did license Classes change from Class A to Advanced?
That's when the "Extra" came in, and the old Class A operators were
bumped down to Advanced, and therefore not allowed the bottom 25kc of
the band.

I wasn't around then, being a '58 model, m'self

That would be when they changed from Class A, and Condition to
Technicial, General, Advanced and Extra. Probably the same time the
Novice class came to be.
