[AMRadio] Extra Class downgraded to advanced

That is not correct Rick, There were very significant differences in the
portions of the bands allowed for each class. I was working very hard on
being able to write legibly the 20 WPM so I could get the Extra. already
had a First Class commerical, so the code was the issue. Then later they
were all rolled into one, with no incentive to get the Extra,. much later it
was changed again. I was off air for a long time and returned and got the
extra, with no study and a test that was not as difficult as the 1954
general! As I said they, the FCC, can pretty much make changes as they see
fit, and with some of the things I hear now, it might be best to just shut
the entire thing down!!! Before any comments about leaving, no, but I do
avoid certain areas of some bands. Bernie
