Indeed. The "internet" and "Cell service" are under the perview of the
FCC, where $ and connections/pull mean much more than science & engineering.
My old school land line phone (Century Link now) is controlled big-time by
our Corporation Comission, and they have to respond promptly by law to
service problems and customer complaints.
Deregulation has done nothing for the quality of any industry in this
country, only their bottom line.
