Thanks Bernie. I really appreciate all the advice I've received on this
reflector. I am looking in to vacuum relays . All things considered I too
think it may be the most reliable way to go. I've spent a lot of years
collecting and restoring my equipment and it would be silly of me to cut
corners now. I know some feel coax would be just as good and I agree. It's
just a matter of preference and at this point in time I think I prefer open
wire. Thanks a million for your words of encouragement and advice.

Rick/K5IAR

Rick, with that level of power vacuum relays are going to be the best
choice due to the probably high RF voltages. I would try the surplus Russian
relays. with the transmitters you have, a few hundred $$ for relays is no
big expense. as you know keep the open wire away from other conductors,
supported from the ceiling ten inches or so would work fine. Interesting
that you simply asked about how others would do this and get comments that
you are not doing it properly and should be running coax!!! if I had a
number or tx/rx locations with a separate matching device at each one I
believe I might do the same thing. sounds good to me ;just turn on the
transmitter and rcvr, the the corrosponding relays close and every thing is
set or nearly so without any adjustment. I did talk with a gentleman that
had multiple matchboxs that were switched just so he did not have to retune
them. Bernie W8RPW
