Geoff,
3 volts positive to 1 volt negative is a 3:1 ratio of positive to negative.
John's SR 4 (symmetric ratio) that he came up with is based on a 3:1 ratio.
Peak to peak voltage which in this case is 4 volts divided by the negative
value (which is 1) = an SR of 4
An SR of 4 is not a 4:1 ratio of positive to negative.
I am not redefining what you are saying. I am just showing it in another
form which I think is easier to calculate and understand than the SR.
