Because it is not there. AM stations are limited to 1.5 KW PEP just like 
any other mode. The 375 watts comes from the assumption that an AM 
station has a peak power of 4 times carrier which makes the carrier 375 
watts. As was mentioned a few days ago, this is not always the case. If 
the peak modulation was 80 percent, the carrier would be more. It the 
modulation was 125% positive or more the carrier would be less than 375 
watts. If I were to do an inverse controlled carrier, theoretically the 
carrier could be 1.5 KW.
