Hi Dave: I think the most important thing is for you to have someone on AM
to talk too. If you have a transceiver it will probably do AM at 1/4 power,
I suggest you come down to the low end of 80, 3.7 + or - there is usually
activity there in the mornings, evenings and weekends. a lot less QRM that
at the top end of 80, and a lot fewer clowns. I usually hang at 3705 and
am happy to work ssb or am, had a qso last night with a gentleman running
