The so-called "phone" contests are not really phone contests because
slopbucket isn't really authentic radiotelephone.

Radiotelephone and radiotelegraph are AM (A3) and CW (A1).   Phone
contests are more accurately termed SSB contests, unless they are
truly one of the few genteel "contests" involving the operation of AM
mode.
