Hi Mike,
There is a moderately active e-mail list like this one for the HBR
receiver owners and builders.

There is some historical info available from members there as well. I
think there is a DVD available from
one of Ted Crosby's colleagues that covers the history of the receivers
in great detail. Some one on that list
should be able to fill you in.
