Jim, vy sorry but I forgot to mention that earlier I called CQ on 3880, must
have been around 9:30 p.m. central time and Ken came back to me with a big
signal and we were quickly joined by Brandon KF5IIA (or maybe it is IAA, I
don't have my log with me) and Frank in Aberdeen S.D., Brent W1IA, Steve
W9SWR, and another fellow who's call escapes me operating from a camp ground
in Carlock IL. This went on for about an hour then it being a work night we
all began to call it a night and after that was when I heard Bill in
Washington call Brent and proceed to ragchew. There was a lot of QRN as
the evening wore on so eventually some guys got tough to copy but I have a
little rx loop I can use and that helps somewhat.
