Precisely, Jim,
You're looking at the CB amp situation from a legal Ham perspective. Can't be done -
nothing legal about this! It's all about the "keydowns" and broadcasting on the
"superbowl". These guys, when not competing in "keydowns", are competing on the
"superbowl" to see who can be the loudest. The guy with the biggest amp wins. There
are literally dozens of companies making big amps. Some are very professional and high
quality like "Wizard". I wonder if he makes amateur amps? I see he has a 2 X 3-500G
amp. I should ask him. (And I wonder what his call-sign is? Most of these amp makers
are hams.)

Jim - These "folks" build and use these "monstrosities" solely for use
in their "keydown" *contests*, (Joke in itself!), OR they use them on CH
6, which is referred to as the *SuperBowl*! That is where they simply
begin and carry on a broadcast with the biggest gun gets heard.
You are trying to look at this with a logical point of view. They do
NOT apply logic!
I've found local traffic of truckers on CH2. I kept an old Tram D-201
tube type base for grins and giggles.
