Just looked at a demo of an amp claimed to make 25kw on am modulation peaks.
Claimed a 25kw slug in the Bird 43. The bird was connected with rg-8 type
coax using pl-259s. Any broadcast transmitter I ever got close to used
rigid hardine or waveguide feed and the wattmeter was not a 43 and was
flange connected. So I do not believe all I see. Anyway what are you going
to do with all that power? It is a waste on 10 or 11 if the band is not
open and I would not want to risk loosing my ticket and maybe going to jail!
The largest AM broadcast station in my area is 10kw and most are only 1kw.
If 10 is open you don't need much power to work the world. If it is not you
probably won't go much farther than 100 miles no matter how much power you
put in the wire.
