They are identical, electrically and mechanically.  I have found them to be 
completely interchangeable.

If you can find a 1943 ARRL handbook, plus or minus a couple of years, they 
feature some homebrew transmitters, and describe the coils, which are exact 
replicas of the B & W coils.  E.F. Johnson and National also made these 
coils.  The Johnson ones are interchangeable with the B & W's.  I am not 
sure about the Nationals.  Millen may have made them too.

I have found the B&W's to be the worst ones to self-destruct when the 
plastic disintegrates with age.  I have some Bud's that are still pristine 
despite decades of use.  B&W evidently used a different plastic (cullulose 
acetate) from the others.  It may be a very good dielectric, but it 
eventually disintegrates with age.
