What is the mod xfmr? Maybe you can find a replacement. I'm sure Peter
Dahl would build up a better one for you. The mod tubes had no load other
than core losses; they had no job to do! At least take it apart and look
for the open. It might be near the outside. If you can get even a simple
wood-turning lathe you could re-wind it. And with some solid-state
protection circuits added to the rig, it need never blow up again.
