Keith,

He became a silent key a few days ago.  He had been in some kind of nursing 
home for quite some time.  I talked to Otis K5SWK and he said John had got 
to the phyiscial condition that he could no longer take care of himself, and 
that he had NOT been put away by his family just to get him out of the way, 
as has been rumoured over the air.
