[Alinco] INFO WTD: DJ-162TD

I have a DJ-162TD
New NiMH Battery that checks new.
Nothing happens when I turn it on.
And I mean nothing. No speaker clicks. Nothing on the screen.
No prior warnings of any kind.

I guess I have the usual questions.

Are there any particularly common causes of such.
Are these worth fixing.
Is ALINCO, Torrence of help, or again is it too old.
