I have not been able to locate a NiMh battery pack for the Alinco DJ-V5, only the factory standard 9.6V NiCad pack. But, I did notice some aftermarket sources of NiMh packs for the DJ-G5. Does the lack of a NiMh batterly pack for the DJ-V5 make it a less desireable radio than the DJ-G5? Perhaps Alinco believed NiCad's would be better for high output in a small package?
