I use the same eqt at my camp house in the country.

I have a pice of pvc(2") thru the wall at the height of the desk inside and 
on the outside I have screwed the edx-2 to the wall, then the connections for 
the gnd and long wire. Works well, although I only use low pwr at abt 4 wats 
cw for qrp, but get great reports.

I don't think I would use a length of coax to go up to the ant from the 
tuner. I use pvc covered wire, and also the tuner came with a rubber boot to 
put over the exposed connector at the top of the tuner. 

This is a great peice of eqt, Iam surprised a lot of  other hams have not 
purchased this tuner....also the radio is a sleeper rig...Great little rig 
and very cost effective....
