Hello community, if I may ask for advice ..
I can't spend big money on my new QTH location (zip code 20019, at the
DC/MD boundary) but I do have an open flat yard.
Would like a low cost tower to get access to HF antennas and V/HF nets and
satcom future activity. For now V/UHF and HF would be cool.
Would a painters pole (<$50) work in a pinch for an elevated antenna mount
plate at the top?

What kind of DIY (I have tools, and recently discovered screw in 4"x4"
ground posts [neat] and a nearby shed) foundation would I be able to do so
that the mast doesn't come falling down (guy wires!)
Sending pics of the shed, at the rear of the property. To the right off
picture is about 100 feet of clear space in a broad angle. To the left is
an alley way public road.
To the right of this is the main house and I can put the mast there but it
has to be fixed so it doesn't slam against the house. Would a hinge at the
bottom help?
