As initial planning is getting started for this year’s Annual Field Day, I
would like to invite everyone to a site visit/initial survey of this year’s
park.  We will be holding Field Day at Chinquapin Park located at 3210 King
Street in Alexandria.  I would like to meet up at the park at 0900 on 26
March.  We can meet up at the area reserved for us as was passed in our
monthly meeting earlier this month.  We have the back ¼ area of the park,
the pavilion, and the surrounding areas around the pavilion.  Attached is a
pdf file of the site.  

 

This initial planning survey can help us build out how we want to proceed
and develop logistical concerns/issues that we can address as we go through
our planning process.  

 

This will be a great opportunity for us to look over the layout of our
reserved areas and produce an initial set up plan.  We can also look at
where we would like to place the trailer, an initial antenna set up/plan,
and develop a logistics plan.  Additionally, we can develop our planning
process for future meetings as we progress through our Field Day planning.  

 

Anyone that would like to participate as a band captain, committee lead or
member, help with planning or setting up for Field Day, or planning to
participate in the annual Field Day event, please stop by the park and help
us get started.  I look forward to seeing you there.
