[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] Interested In Becoming a Club Net Controller?

All-

Are you interested in contributing to the club's operations and becoming a
Net Controller?  As your new Net Control Coordinator, I want to help
provide a path to get more net controllers on the air and comfortable with
running our club nets or other club nets you may participate in.   Not only
am I a net controller for Alexandria Radio Club, but I have run a few nets
for the Northern Alberta Radio Club via Echolink on their 2m terrestrial
repeater in Edmonton.

For anyone who has not run a net, my plan is to conduct training with one
or two Zoom classes and then running a few practice nets before you go on
the air.  So for the potential practice nets, I'll need a few "Elmer" hams
to act as stations checking in to help the net control trainees.

If you're interested in becoming one of our net controllers, send me a note
and I'll add you to the list.  Additionally, if you're interested in going
through net control training, please send me a note so I can get a quorum
and I can start putting together the training syllabus in the near future.
