This is where selected Scout Troops from all over the U.S. will spend a
weekend with the U.S. Military Academy at West Point cadets.  For my Scouts
it was a very exciting place to be for a weekend in 2015.

Each year, members of the Ten Mile River Scout Camp Amateur Radio club
(W2TMR) and the Fair Lawn Amateur Radio Club (W2NPT) produce the Special
Event Station W2P at the annual West Point Scout Camporee at Lake Frederick
on the grounds of the West Point Military Academy.

We operate the station from Friday evening to Sunday morning in the midst of
thousands of Scouts from across the US.

We try to offer all possible bands and modes so everyone can make contact
with this amazing event. 

Our operation offers the Scouts an opportunity to learn about radio
communicatios in the event of disaster while also completing requirements
for the Radio and Communications Merit Badges. 

Please join us on the air to say hello or tell us Your story about Scouting
or Military experiences, past or present.
