[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] 12 Feb POTA Activation

Good afternoon,

I’m heading out to do a little POTA in DC. Hoping to be on the air starting at 1330L. I will start at K-0853 (Pennsylvania Ave NHS), then head to K-0784 (LBJ Memorial Grove), and try to squeeze in K-0825 (Frederick Douglass NHS). Not sure I’ll have time for all three, but I’ll give it a go.

My plan is to start on HF in the General Phone portion of each band. Here is my band order plan:

20M - hit the long stations first
40M - get a little closer

Hit the locals - I’ll make a call on the club VHF repeater to let folks know that I’m going to work local.

10M - 29.6 FM Simplex
6M - 52.525 FM Simplex
2M - 146.580 FM Simplex
70cm - 446.000 FM Simplex
23cm - 1294.5 FM Simplex (This is an HT so range limited)
