[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] ARES STANDBY NOTIFICATION

All,

                Due to a computer issue,  I have lost my ARES list, but I
have paper backup.   SO,  this is sent to all members of the club.

                At this time the City has asked us to "STANDBY" with our
action dependent on the possible flooding as a result of IDA.

                I ask that you standby and monitor the 147.315 repeater
during the day today if you can.  I know it's Wednesday and you are working,
but if you could lend an ear that would be great.

                Some of our members will visit the EOC weather and other
commitments depending and will be testing all of the installed equipment
except the HF and 1.25m radios.

 

                For those who are ARES volunteers,   IT is time to update
your equipment capabilities and classes taken.  Please send me a filled in
copy of the 98 form (attached) and a list of FEMA classes completed.

 

                As sent earlier,  I need to be out of town on a family
issue, but I will visit the EOC after 3PM today.
