As you know, tomorrow is Field Day 2020, our biggest club event of the year.
Field Day begins at 14:00 (2 p.m. EDT) tomorrow and runs for 24 hours.
Although we are in the midst of the COVID pandemic, more important than
anything -- let's stay safe . and have some fun. The unexpected may happen,
but please keep in mind that having fun is the main idea. Hopefully, this
will be the only Field Day we will ever experience like this one. Please
see the attached Field Day statement issued yesterday by ARRL President Rick
Roderick.

As a reminder, repeaters cannot be used for Field Day points. Put another
way, contacts using repeaters don't count. The W4HFH repeater will be used
to help coordinate our "club stations" operations, notwithstanding
emergencies.

Rick Bunn, N4ASX, will be our club focal point for NTS (National Traffic
System) traffic to Dr. Joe Palsa, our ARRL Virginia Section Manager. Rick
will consolidate our ARRL Section Manager Radiograms and forward them to the
Section Manager, so please submit your Radiograms over the radio only to
N4ASX via dictation or WINLINK.

To score points by sending messages, the 10 additional messages have to be
"formal" (ARRL Radiogram or ICS-213 formats are mentioned as examples) and
have to depart or leave your station via ham radio RF. Rick, N4ASX, will
receive and respond to WINLINK messages, and so will members of the VWS as
follows: KN4ZMA,KK4TWI, AK4AO, KI4WKZ, KA4CDN, K7AJG, NT8B, KR4EL.

Don't forget to update all of your contact/logging software so that Field
Day reporting output will reflect the latest software changes, see links
below. As a reminder, your Field Day summary must be submitted to the ARRL
within 30 days after Field Day ends.
