[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] Winterfest! 2020 -- The ARRL Virginia Section Convention for 2020

Dear Fellow Ham:

In case you haven't heard, Vienna Wireless Society's 44th Annual
Winterfest! event is hosting, for the first time, the  ARRL Virginia
Section Convention, and the Northern Virginia AUXCOMM Conference.  We
hope you have Sunday, March 29, 2020 reserved on your calendar to join
our hamfest.

Winterfest! 2020 will be held the Northern Virginia Community College,
Annandale Campus, and we have plenty of free parking!  The outdoor
flea market opens at 6:00 a.m., the indoor sales floor opens at 8:00
a.m., and the huge 2020 Virginia Section Convention and AUXCOMM
conference starts at 9:00 a.m.  More details are on the attached

The ARRL First Vice President Mike Raisbeck, K1TWF will join us from
the League Headquarters, as will the Virginia Section and Roanoke
Division ARRL leaders. The AuXCOMM Conference will be keynoted by John
Peterson, N4KEA from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security,
Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).
The timetable for the AUXCOMM Conference is also attached.

The “engine” that makes any hamfest are the incredible vendors, and as
Northern Virginia’s largest hamfest, we will have more than 60 vendors
... and lots of door prize.  The door prizes this year include an ICOM
7300, ICOM ID-4100A, ICOM ID-31A, and ICOM IC V86.

Tailgating is available on a first-come basis, and there is a $20 per
space fee,  which also includes the indoor exhibit pass.  We have
spaces for over 150 tailgaters!  Gates open at 6:00 a.m.  Indoor
admission is still just $10.

This year promises to be the biggest and best Winterfest!  yet.  We
also have VE Testing at 11:00, a GOTA station, and a QLF Contest with
prizes!  We, and the men and women of the Vienna Wireless Society,
look forward to seeing you in March 29th at the 2020 ARRL Virginia
Section Convention, AUXCOMM Conference and Winterfest!
